Unlike the colorful range of the new 24-inch iMacs where they originated, it seems the Magic accessories when sold separately only come in Apple's signature silver and white. Or, if you prefer the feel of a mouse in your hand, the Magic Mouse goes for $79 (£79, AU$109) and still offers some of the trackpad's Multi-Touch capabilities. This product seems to be game changer for older iPad. With sensors that let you perform different tasks depending on how hard you press, the Magic Trackpad is priced at $129 (£129, AU$179). I have an older iPad that is not compatible with the Magic Keyboard.
(Note that the Touch ID only works with M1 Macs.) And for yet another $30, you can get the Touch ID version with the expanded numeric keypad on the right side, if that's your style. It's turned on when you see green under its power switch. With the Force Touch trackpad, pressure-sensing capabilities add another level of interactivity.

If the device came in the box of your new Mac, it should already be paired with that Mac, and it automatically connects when you turn on the device. The Magic Keyboard is the first iPad keyboard accessory from Apple that takes advantage of iPadOS 13.4s new trackpad support. You can do a lot on your Mac Pro using simple trackpad gesturesscroll through webpages, zoom in on documents, rotate photos, and more. It's compatible with both the 11-inch and 12.9-inch Pro models and starts at 199. Sensors underneath the trackpad surface detect subtle differences in the amount of pressure you apply, bringing more functionality to your fingertips and enabling a deeper connection to your content.

For non-Apple options, there is the Brydge Pro+ case. Magic Trackpad is wireless and rechargeable, and it includes the full range of Multi-Touch gestures and Force Touch technology. The keyboard itself works properly, its the trackpad that makes problems. But the magic keyboard seems to get freezes, too.

I had this issues on the ipad pro 12.9 2020 with bluetooth trackpad, too and I thought it was because of the BT connection.

For an additional $50, you make the worthwhile upgrade to a Magic Keyboard with Touch ID, which makes logging into a Mac much quicker and more secure. Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse, and Magic Trackpad work wirelessly via Bluetooth when turned on and paired with your Mac. If a trackpad is not a priority to you, you can also consider Apple's Smart Keyboard Folio, which starts at 179 for the 11-inch model and is a lot more lightweight than the Magic Keyboard. If you protect the trackpad against the light and heat from the sun, it can run normally.
The baseline Magic Keyboard costs $99 (£99, AU$139) and features new keys for emoji, Do Not Disturb, Spotlight and Dictation, along with "a remarkably comfortable and precise typing experience," Apple claims. Each Magic accessory comes with a USB-C-to-Lightning cable so you can charge it from your Mac, which Apple says you'll only need to do every month or so. And it resumed functioning beautifully. The new iMac's Magic accessories, which also include a slightly updated Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad, are now available on Apple's website and in Apple Stores, Apple announced Tuesday. When I lifted the iPad off, I rubbed the metal contacts on both the Magic Keyboard and the iPad (to make sure there was no microscopic debris), and carefully popped the iPad back on. I suspect that, if the contacts are not sitting just so, the scroll function of the trackpad is affected. I strongly suspect the problem lies with the contact surfaces between the iPad (which are 3 flat circular metal pieces at the bottom of the back of the iPad) and those of the Magic Keyboard (which are 3 tiny spring-loaded metal points in the corresponding area).
